... the title of a new book -- Author Ben Ratliff sits down with some great jazz musicians and composers to listen to music and talk about the music or whatever thoughts pop up/out. It brings together a very interesting collection/spectrum of creative minds, viewpoints and personal journeys. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (though I haven't finished it yet). There's also history and leads on new music to explore.
